This sculpture is aged 3 days and more beautiful than when it was fresh. It is clearer, and the corners have start to get at less stringent, more organic form.
Time is a process that I've barely touched so far... In fact, I think time is an important factor when doing ice art. The discovering of age making the surface smooter, the edges softer and the matter clearer has made me work less for perfection in detail and spending more attention to the overall expression and composition of the object. It has been a new and important direction for my personal design process. In the end, the object has melted away and what's left is only the memory of the object. And more important, the memory of the dialogue between the ice and yourself as the object was made and the experiences you got when making it.
